Connected implanted gastrointestinal diagnostics
eCAP developed a connected, implanted capsule and e-health platform for gastrointestinal diagnostics. As part of the project leadership team, I oversaw project management, design, engineering and prototype manufacture of the capsule, attachment mechanism and implantation tools.
Human-centred stakeholder research across UK, Kenya, Ukraine, USA and France informed development from early concepts through clinical-trial prototypes, bringing together the needs of patients, clinicians and the wider technical consortium. Images of the existing Bravo system show reference equipment studied during research, distinct from the team’s eCAP development.
